Welcome

Picture
Hello, and welcome to Amelioration Acres Rabbitry. My name is Abigail, and I raise, breed, and show American Fuzzy Lop and soon to be French lop rabbits in central Ohio. I have been raising rabbits for the past 4 years, starting in the fall of 2007. I am a youth breeder in the ARBA, member of the AFLRC, and I also participate in 4-H.

I currently breed and show in conservative amounts. My rabbitry has 14 holes for the Fuzzy Lop breed and 6 for the French Lops. I make it to a show about every other month. In the Fuzzy lops I specialize in Smoke Pearl, Siamese sable, Sable point, and a few pointed whites; but I do dabble in other colors. With my French I hope to work with mainly chestnut, steel (blue and black), and opal for now- with the possibility of color in the future.

My rabbitry was founded in 2007. It was originally The Ninety-Eight Acre Wood rabbitry, but after much consideration had a name change to something much more suitable, and slightly easier to whip off the tongue. (Emphasis on the slightly.) In Fuzzies I currently have developed my own lines, but I mostly use Bastet's, Brian's, and Corbin's lines. I have thrown in FT's, MM's, Blue Valley's, Hobb's, and Fun Fur's lines for the color. I do use fuzzy hollands in my lines. This being said, I also have one main color line that can be registered and has no holland lines in it. Many people have issues with the fuzzy hollands and their soft coats, but I have found them to be very useful in my color projects. With my French I have Garret's and Eden's lines. (For now)

I am still currently constructing and editing the site, please excuse the mess! I will get more pictures and information up this week. Thank you for stopping by, and please feel free to nose around!
